Started 7 years ago. I got severe redness around my nose. Would go away for a week or 2 and come back worse. I left it for years it spread. Beside my nose my forhead/hairline down along beside my eyes down my sideburns down my jaw line and cheeks. My entire face beat red scaley flaky white pustules. It was bad. I was trying every moisturizer I could find because my face was SO dry expecially after showers but it seemed soon as i put moisturizer on it made it worse and flareup. Not to mention sever itching and burning to the point i need to tap or scratch it. adding to it. I decided it wasnt going to get better saw a dr. Got diagnosed with Rosacea. Was given Metro gel so all id use is metro gel for 3 weeks. My face got better then it had been in 7 years. So I got excited. started using moisturizers again. and within a week it was back.

SO I did research. I have not had a flareup in well over a month which is huge for me as I never went 2 weeks without it flaring up.
what has helped me : finding a moisturizer that I can use to moisturize my skin without adding to it has helped massively. Keeping a moisture barrier on my skin has become essential. anytime my face gets the least bit itchy instead of itching i rub a bit of CeraVe moisturizing cream on it and it controls the itch without scratching. The cream tends to build up on your face so its essential to get it off gently every day. A soft cloth with room temp water . I dab and very very gently remove it once a week I add normal everyday sugar and make a paste to exfoliate . It takes a while but i dont get aggressive with it. After I get the moisturizer off it gets dry from the water and moisture barrier being gone. so I get a cotton ball with grape seed oil and dab a very tiny bit of grape seed oil everywhere on my face that seems dry.
This has kept me completely flareup free i never thiught id be able to control my flareups but it seems as long as I always keep the right mpisture on my face I have no issues. Stuff like metrogel helps you get rid of it . But what we want to do is AVOiD it from even happening . hope this helps someone.
