How to explain rosacea to people who don't get it

Help, please!
I have rosacea subtype 1 and subtype 2. I have it under control most of the the time, but I have some permanent redness on my whole cheeks. When I have a flare-up, it's very red (almost purple) and I get bumps/spots/papules.
For some reason, this makes people think they can comment on my face or even suggest treatments. This is often the case with store clerks who make comments like "ohhh somebody spent too much time in the sun" or "I cleared up my acne with such-and-such product."
This normally makes me blush even more (I also have moderate social anxiety and associated panic disorder, which doesn't help) and I find myself searching for a way to tell these people that I'm not sun burnt and I don't have acne.

Any suggestions how I can quickly and politely correct people? It's getting very embarrassing and I'd love to have a way to shut down the comments without being rude.

Thank you for your help.
