Re: How to behave with a stroke patient...?

Hello,
we're sorry to hear that things are difficult. Anger is a very common emotion after stroke. Your husband's stroke is also very recent and you are all in the early stages of adjustment.

You can download our Information pack from the Different Strokes website with lots of advice:
http://www.differentstrokes.co.uk/index ... care-profs.

In particular you might find the Invisible Side of Stroke information useful:

We have a facebook page as well which you might find helpful: https://www.facebook.com/differentstrokescharity/

With regard to the Stroke Support Service you've outlined we have no experience of this particular organisation but it can be beneficial for people to get some extra input in the early days. Is there a support group or stroke charity in Canada that you could contact for more information? We are based in the UK.

Best wishes
the team at Different Strokes
