Postby sophiewalker96 on Wed Dec 07, 2016 4:33 pm

Hi I'm Sophie and i am 20 years old, I suffered a stroke in September and just getting back on track and trying to get my normal day routine back, I'm just wanting to talk to some people and get to know abit about them and see how everyone copes and what they do after a stroke at such a young age?

Hello Sophie,

Have you visited our Different Strokes website? http://www.differentstrokes.co.uk
You are very welcome to call our strokeline and we can arrange for you to speak to a younger stroke survivor. We find that people really benefit from talking to people who have been in a similar situation and are a bit further through their journey. (Call: 0345 130 7172 or 01908 317618). You can also download our information pack or request a paper copy to be posted.

If you are on facebook then we have a very active group for younger stroke survivors. You can join up and simply read other people's comments or if you'd like ask a question our members will get back to you with their experiences and tips/suggestions.

This is a closed group so you'll need to request to join it (button on the right below the logo).

I hope that this helps,
best wishes
The Different Strokes team.
