Re: UTI infection?

My doctor once told me, stay away from soda drinks. She also said something about food high in antioxidants like cranberry juice no sugar, cocoa chocolate and blueberries.
No to antibiotics too. How is she?

Re: UTI infection?

A urinary tract infection (UTI) can carry a range of symptoms depending on where the infection is based within the urinary tract. UTIs can be particularly painful and, due to the potential for some to turn serious, in most cases you will be required to receive diagnosis and treatment by a qualified doctor.

What are Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)?
In adults, UTIs are most common in women with some suffering from frequent urinary tract infections. While they are painful and can be incredibly uncomfortable, they can also pass in just a few days. Others are more serious and can lead to further complications, which is why it’s important to seek professional medical help should you suspect you have a UTI.

In children, UTIs are also fairly common but are very rarely serious. That said, swift diagnosis and treatment should be sought if you suspect your child has a urinary tract infection.

Essentially, UTIs can be broken down into two types. A lower UTI and an upper UTI. A lower urinary tract infection is an infection of the bladder (cystitis) or the tube that carries urine out of the body, known as the urethra. An upper urinary tract infection is an infection of the kidneys or the ureter, the tube that carries urine from the kidneys to the bladder.

Of the two, an upper UTI is most likely to become more serious if left untreated. Serious cases can damage the kidneys permanently or the infection can spread to the bloodstream, both of which can be a huge problem. This the reasons why swift diagnosis and treatment from a doctor is of paramount importance.

Re: UTI infection?

Recurrent UTI infection is not a good sign. I think you have already consulted with a registered doctor. It may be an early warning sign of some underlining conditions. One of the primary reason for UTI in women is disturbed flora. Include probiotics like fermented yogurt in the diet is a good solution. Better lay low on sodas or other acidic drinks and food. Water therapy is a good way to get rid of it.

Re: UTI infection?

Urinary tract infections are more common in women. They usually occur in the bladder or urethra, but more serious infections involve the kidney.
A bladder infection may cause pelvic pain, increased urge to urinate, pain with urination and blood in the urine. A kidney infection may cause back pain, nausea, vomiting and fever.

Stay away from salty food, instant noodles, chips and other junk food. Drink 8 glasses of water and add cranberry or buco juice to your regular liquid in-take. I was also once in that situation and drinking a lot of water really helped me.

Re: UTI infection?

Most infections involve the lower urinary tract, the bladder and the urethra. Women are at greater risk of developing a UTI than are men. Infection limited to your bladder can be painful and annoying. However, serious consequences can occur if a UTI spreads to your kidneys.
