How to deal with pain after getting dental veneer?
Hi, This is about my 16-year-old son. He loves playing football and regularly goes to play football in weekends or when he gets time. It was usual that he comes back with a few bruises after the game. I do scold him to play safe but I know bruises are part of football. It was past weekend which gave me a panic attack when he reached home with blood on his jersey and had his front tooth missing. I got to nearby family dentistry as soon as possible. The initial treatment had gone well. He had his dental veneers done for the cracked tooth as well .After 7 days of initial treatment, he’s having trouble chewing food and have severe pain at night. Is it obvious during the recovery stage or should I take a second opinion? Thanks in advance.

I understand it must be quite difficult for 16 year old to bear the pain. But it takes up to two weeks for dental veneers to settle in.
