Pain in heart area.
Hi,
I am wondering if anyone could tell me what the likely cause of a current pain in a specific area of my chest could be.....
I am 34. Male. Not obese, but don't eat the best or exercise much.....
For the past 24 hours I have had a constant mild, dull, pain in a focused area my left side of my chest. I have pin pointed the location and size of the area of this pain in the attached image. It's focused in an area the size of a 5p coin.
Just to emphasise - the pain is not sharp, it is a dull ache which I feel and it doesn't get more painful, it is a constant mild level of pain, which does not stop me from doing anything, I am just aware it is there.
I noticed my heart beat seems a little excessive, but maybe it's me just me as I am not really sure what a normal heart beat should be like as I don't really take notice of it.
Thanks for your help....

Angina is chest pain or discomfort caused when your heart muscle doesn't get enough oxygen-rich blood. It may feel like pressure or squeezing in your chest. The discomfort also can occur in your shoulders, arms, neck, jaw, or back. Angina pain may even feel like indigestion.

Precordial catch syndrome (PCS) is a non-serious condition in which there are sharp stabbing pains in the chest. These typically get worse with breathing in and occur within a small area.

Hey,chest pain can stem from dozens of conditions besides heart attack, from pancreatitis to pneumonia or panic attack. These are some symptoms :
Shortness of breath
Sudden nausea or vomiting
Unusual fatigue
Heat/flushing or a cold sweat
Sudden heaviness, weakness, or aching in one or both arms
So consult the doctor near you.
