Dizziness and Shaky Legs
Hi,
Over the last week or so I’ve noticed I’ve been getting way more dizzy standing up than I usually do. I stay really hydrated and eat healthily, the only obvious change in my routine has been lockdown due to coronavirus, so maybe sitting down / lying down more than I usually would.
However, today I had a scary experience in that I went really dizzy standing up this morning and my legs began to shake really quickly for around 10-15 seconds whilst my head was still spinning with dizziness.
Not sure what this could be? For reference I’m female and 20 years old.

Re: Dizziness and Shaky Legs
Hi crrev301,
Sorry to hear that you experienced a scary episode when standing up.
Lack of activity can cause temporary low blood pressure and because you haven't been as active as usual perhaps this is causing your symptoms. Do you have access to a blood pressure monitor?
Please find info here on low blood pressure:
https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/low-blood ... potension/
https://www.qegateshead.nhs.uk/sites/de ... ension.pdf
Perhaps try and incorporate some more movement into your day? Please try not to worry, but if your symptoms do persist we would urge you to contact your GP surgery for a telephone appointment.
Kind regards
