Back Pain

I am having back pain for one week. I attended a massage session but still, I am having back pain. Can someone suggest me home remedies to cure back pain? Your responses will be highly appreciated.

Re: Back Pain

Hello - there are loads of back pain exercises available and many can be found via NHS websites. However it is important to establish what is causing your back pain in the first place. It could be muscular or it could be internal organs - so best establish the cause of the problem first before you start treatment. Certainly to keep moving is very important.

Re: Back Pain

A heating pad or pack can help soothe muscles and connective tissue. If you have chronic back pain, sleep on a medium-firm mattress. an over-the-counter pain reliever such as acetaminophen, aspirin, ibuprofen, or naproxen could help too.

Re: Back Pain

Sleeping on the right mattress is vital. Also the position you're sleeping in matters. Gentle exercises will also pull your back muscles into place. If you do other exercise, perhaps slow down on them: you should never push your body too far. I don't know if you use a gym or not but if you do I'd do less strenuous exercise. Plus your trainer [if you have one] will know what could be causing your back pain. I realize gyms are not open because of the pandemic but it is worth keeping what I've said in mind when you do return to the gym.

Mattress-wise: there are a lot of modern types of mattresses. It may be worth getting one of these, rather than a traditional spring mattress. You will also need to test them in the shop. It shouldn't be too soft or too hard. You want it springy and supportive.

I do hope I've helped. I do also think others advice here makes sense.

Re: Back Pain

Hey Emily, I can relate to your condition, I had back pain a year ago, but I wonder how a one-week massage session can cure your pain. It's baseless. We all know that massage therapy is a natural process, so it'll take time to heal, but the result will be amazing. I say this from my own experience. One year back, I've consulted a massage therapist but not for one week, it was a long process, but I got the best result. I've to give credit to my therapist for this. He is an amazing therapist with years of experience. You can try home remedies also, and those remedies alone are not going to cure your pain. So continue your therapy and see the result.
