Re: Is Liposuction a Weight Loss Procedure ??

Yes, liposuction is a weight loss procedure, If you want to go with this surgery to remove fat, you can get a better shape of your body. However, It is still not assured that you’ll not become fat or obese anymore after liposuction surgery. Therefore it’s essential to adhere to a low-carbohydrate high-protein diet after surgery.
One friend of mine had overweight and went for liposuction surgery. After a few months, she faced lots of problems with weight gain. After that, she consulted with a doctor for her weight management. Now she is under the supervision of a doctor through video sessions, where she gets a lot of advice for a healthy low-carb diet. She is now much better and maintains her weight.

It is important to remember that surgical procedures are invasive and as with most weight loss there needs to be lifestyle changes. The NHS website may have some useful information for you:

Liposuction is a valid weight loss treatment if you've got the money. You will need to stick to a decent food eating diet too, though.

I assume most cosmetic surgeons are well trained and know their job. When this is the case it is a safer treatment. But you do want to make sure your surgeon is licensed. Plus, liposuction is classed as cosmetic/plastic surgery rather than as a health benefit surgery.

If you've got the money - and want to accept the risks - then do what you think best. But DO be aware of the risks involved.
