Scar to face

I have had a grade to my head about a month and 2 weeks ago.

The graze was around 4cm long and 3 cm high on my head and the scab has now come
Of and Naturally. It has now left a red mark of where the scab use to be this has been here for ages and has shown some signs of going down but still remains red.

The wound was done on concrete and did bleed all though not to the point is was running but if I touched the wound then blood would be on my fingers.

The mark is getting my confidence down as your can imagin.

Can any one help in telling me
What the redness of the new skin means ? Is it a scar ? and if it will fade ? and how long they would thing this would take ?

Thank you guys !
