Hi I had a bladder augmentation and partial cystoplasty 5 years ago and now have to use cathaters for going the toilet, also I have to bladder wash everyday. Would this qualify me to get the exemption certificate for prescriptions as just going around and no one can answer this?

Normally people with any form of permanent are eligible for free prescriptions with a FP92 Medical Exemption Certificate. You need to apply for the certificate and you can obtain a FP92A application form from your Doctor's surgery. After you have completed the form a Doctor or another authorised member of the surgery staff signs the form and sends it off on your behalf to the NHS on your behalf. So you need to contact your surgery to start the process but I would also recommend that you call the NHS helpline on Tel. 0300 330 1341 and they will be able to confirm 100% whether you are eligible for a medical exemption.
