Suprapubic catheter

Hi

I have a suprapubic catheter and have lived with it for nearly 5 years now. Every now and again I get terrible pain with it, mainly pain around the site. It's the worst pain I have ever felt when I have it changed every 8 weeks.

Recently my catheter has started to turn green. I don't know why this has happened and currently in a lot of pain again at the site area. I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any idea of why it is turning green. I really am unsure why. I don't drink alcohol or hot drinks, only soft cold drinks. I don't use talc, creams of shower gels around my site.

PLEASE HELP PEOPLE, ITS DRIVING ME MAD

Xx

Re: Suprapubic catheter

Hi,

Sorry to hear this.Unfortunately as we are not medically trained we are unable to give specific advice. I would see you GP or specialist as soon as you can to discuss it with them. I hope it gets resolved for you soon.

Best wishes,
Helen
