Pain during Biopsy

Hello. Yesterday my urologist planned to do a bladder biopsy and remove an area of inflammed tissue and cauterize the area. She was unable to complete the procedure because I couldn’t tolerate the degree of pain. Fortunately she did iota in two specimens to biopsy; she doesn’t believe I have cancer. The inflammation may be due to a ureter stent following kidney stone surgery. Has anyone else had pain during a bladder biopsy and/or TURBT? Because of difficulty maintaining an airway due to Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since age 2, the surgeon used MAC anesthesia. She didn’t use an epidural or spinal block. Thank you.
