Recommended treatments
I've been had a liver transplant and cannot take many of the regular pain killing/anti inflammatory drugs. Is there any other treatments you would recommend to treat my mechanical back pain?

Re: Recommended treatments
Yes, definitely. There are lots of things that you can try. Hands-on therapies such as physiotherapy, osteopathic or chiropractic treatment or massage may help. Stretching, yoga, Tai Chi and Plates may all be of benefit, as may acupuncture. Advice on your posture may be appropriate if you spend a lot of time sitting or slouching. Rub-on treatments such as ibuprofen gel, diclofenac gel or others such as ketoprofen may help and are much safer than anti-inflammatory medicines by mouth, and if you have an especially tender area, a local anaesthetic patch may give some relief.
I hope that helps!
