Apple cider vinegar
Is there any truth or substance in the fact that drinking apple cider vinegar can help with arthritis?

Hi,
While there is no scientific evidence that cider vinegar eases arthritis, it's a traditional remedy that's stood the test of time and there's lots of anecdotal evidence that it does help some people.
Margaret Hills, a nurse who suffered from arthritis advocated taking one dessertspoonful of cider vinegar with one teaspoon of honey in water 3 times a day, in her book Treating Arthritis The Drug Free Way. She claimed that arthritis was caused by excess uric acid in the body - which the cider vinegar and honey, combined with a healthy 'acid-free' diet helped to neutralise.
Another well-known cider vinegar enthusiast - the explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, has revealed that cider vinegar and honey helped ease both his mother's arthritis and his own. You'd certainly have nothing to lose by giving it a go! Even if it doesn't help your arthritis it may improve your health in other ways, as a recent study at Aston University, Birmingham claimed that taking 30ml of cider vinegar diluted in 200ml water every day reduces cholesterol levels by 13%!
