Arthritis in one hand
I have recently started to suffer with arthritis pain in my left hand, I purchased some suppression gloves which do see to help but is this the only option I have, would rather not take medication. Thanks

Hi udierose,
Thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear about the arthritis affecting your hand. Much arthritis can be helped by exploring self-management. This involves doing plenty of gentle exercise so that your muscles are able to support the worn joints better, and eating a balanced diet with a particular emphasis on keeping weight under good control (over weight can fuel the development of arthritis even in small joints.)

Seeing a physiotherapist is often really worthwhile.
I hope that's helpful

Re: Arthritis in one hand
Treatment depends on the type of arthritis; the hand is also quite a 'large' structure anatomically, so more details about where in the hand is affected would be needed. Generally, an examination by a physician would allow a more precise diagnosis and discussion of treatment options.
