Yes, absolutely. The causes of an elevated PSA are many, but if there is a cancer present then we must pick it up early to have the best chance of cure. The only definitive way to do this is a biopsy. Uncomfortable and inconvenient, certainly but the stakes here are high.

Definitely make sure you have an MRI prior to your biopsy if you havent already had one. This can find other causes for a high PSA e.g. large prostate gland and enable specific targeting of any abnormality. It may also guide the best method of doing the biopsy.
