Pompholyx eczema usually has a number of causes and is often multifactorial. Causes include genetics, sweating, contact with materials than can irritate the skin (e.g. detergents) or allergy (e.g. to metals such as nickel).

Hi Yes I totally agree with Dr Mahto- genetics are a large factor but many cases are also associated with a contact allergy such as to detertgents
