Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has a nickle free diet they follow. i try my best with trial and error but i still get skin and stomic reactions if i eat anything over 0.009% nickel content and trying to find out what amount is in everything is almost impossable.

combination of patch testing and food elimination from doc/ diatition. I get red skin blotches and itching from metal contact and if i eat foods containing high levels of nickle i get the same skin reactions plus very upset stomic and bloting.

another visit to an NHS dietitan could be a good idea. We need to remember that many patients are positive on patch testing with nickel but are not necessarily allergic to this metal

Complete avoidance of nickel containing foods might be impossible and topical eczema treatment might be needed
