Daughter with eczema

Looking for some advice.

My daughter who is almost 4 has been suffering with eczema since she was 6 weeks old.

We have been with our dermotology dept in our local hospital since then.

She has been on a mixture of so many emoliants, steroids and antiobiotics to control it. We regularly use all of these and body wraps etc.

Her flare ups are so bad and seem to be getting worse. She is in agony and her scratching is terrible. She regularly has open sores and hacks on her hands and feet.

I feel like we are getting nowhere with our gp and hospital as never seem to make it any better. Constantly feel like we are fobbed off... even the strong steroids/fuciden only prove short term relief.

She also suffers from asthma.

Any advice or any tips would be appreciated.

Hi Donna,

Sorry to hear about your daughter's eczema. You might find this blog post helpful

There's also an eczema clinic opening in July. You can log on and ask any questions to British Skin Foundation dermatologists who will be able to help.

Here's the link http://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/on ... eczema.php

Good luck,
Lisa
