Itchy red moles

Hello, just wanted some advice / option on my moles. I am a 29 y/o female. I recently had a month or 2 ago I had an itchy mole that’s raised on my face near my eye, it’s been there for years. I scratched it accidentally and noticed another lump next to it. I initially thought it was a spot but it wasn’t, was a skin colored lump that had developed and stayed for over a month. Kept being itchy and red and scabbed. I scratched it a few times accidentally and made it bleed and it took awhile to go away but I picked the lump to flat evently and now it’s a little scar next to it. The scaling went onto the mole it’s self too at the time. Then 1-2 months later I had an itchy mole on my hand that’s also raised. It was again red and scaly and I again accidentally scared it and the raised part came off, it’s now red and open and dark. Is this anything to worry about, being as it’s now happened to two moles month apart ? Skin cancer does run in the family. My brother had melanoma at 27 , uncle in 50s and grandmother 60s. My brother and uncle both had the moles removed and part of their ear removed and lymph nodes biopsies but didn’t spread further and my nan had it also surgically removed but the boys were more advanced. I will when I can get my Gp to look at it- not at home at the moment. I have attached two pictures one of the eye mole that you can see the small funny skin / scar next to it which I scratched offf and my mole on my hand.

Re: Itchy red moles

Hi kimberly29.,

Sorry to hear about your worries due to moles. Unfortunately we are unable to give specific medical advice here but I think in this case your GP will be the one to diagnose any problems with your moles.

In the meantime, please find some info below relating to moles that you may find useful:

This is from our partner Charity 'Cancer Research UK':

Info from NHS:

Unfortunately you have just missed our recent online mole clinic but you may find some useful info from other people in a similar situation:
