Generalised itching

Hi guys
I’ve had full body itching now for well over 2 months, started out on my head with a few acne-like spots which have disappeared but I’m left with generalised itching all over my body, no rash, no dry skin. I’ve changed all my cleaning products and laundry detergent to skin sensitive versions, no change. I’ve had two full blood count tests/plus liver function/kidney function, CRprotein, all normal. I’m taking strong antihistamines, which have done nothing. I’m at my wits end. I did have confirmed corona at the start of June. Everything on google leads me to lymphoma (although I don’t have any other lymphoma symptoms) or an immune disorder.

When I ring my surgery next week this will be the 4th time I’ve spoken to my doctor about it.

Any ideas guys?

Re: Generalised itching

Hello

We are very sorry to hear your itch problem - which we totally understand how serious this can be. There are many reasons for this and always very difficult to narrow down the problem especially if the cause isn't easily identifiable to start with eg change of laundry powder, specific creams or foods for example. We do have a lot of information on our platform around skin concerns etc, so please search using our search browser to see if any clinics, in particular, can help. Meanwhile - Covid19 does keep occurring... we are running our first clinic on it end of Oct/beg of Nov which is based more on the long term symptoms so please do keep your eyes on the dates and maybe submit your question. I do believe the emphasis though is going to be more on the fatigue side of it = but worth taking a look. Meanwhile, we wish you well chasing the doctor - and definitely don't give up with them in getting them to support you!

Usually when spots are itching it means something your doing to prevent the spots from growing is working. But its double sided it could also mean that you are going to experience more itching and spots down the line. Its rare for washing detergents to cause spots. It could be the fabric, or it could be the weather. If there are blisters then it could be different things.

If you has corona you should stay safe. Listen to the governments advice. All the best speaking to the doctor.
