Vitamin D
I currently use a calcitroid ointment, but I would also like to take a vitamin D supplement too. Would this be safe to do? How would I know if I was over dosing? (The calcitroid is used currently only on my elbows )

Re: Vitamin D
Dear ElusiveShadow,
If you live in the UK it is unlikely that you are producing adequate levels of vitamin D between October and March through your skin because of our latitude. We require UVB from the sun to produce vitamin D in skin and levels are low during this time. Obtaining vitamin D from your diet and/or supplements whilst using calcipotriol is a good idea. If there are any concerns, then your vitamin D levels can be confirmed via a blood test and replaced as needed.
Best wishes,
Anjali
