Respiratory Allergies

My partner, a 55 year old man, has severe pain as a result of respiratory allergies. He takes zyrtec and nasonex, uses a saline rinse regularly, and occasionally (2 - 3 times/year) does a course of steriods for severe pain due to suspected or diagnosed sinus infections. He has pain almost all the time and reacts to our home, to all cars I can think of, as well as the typical triggers such as animals and smoke and dust and dander and all of that. He frequently wears a mask to make things more comfortable. Does anyone have any ideas for other treatments? We are also looking for a specialist he can see in Boston - any recommendations?

Re: respiratory allergies

Here is an article that describes in detail several different things you can do for this type of allergy. The first thing I would do if I were you would be to invest in a good air purifier with a HEPA filter.
