Allergy tests

Dear All,

I was advised against blood allergy tests and in favor of skin allergy tests. A healthcare expert I spoke to referred to blood allergy tests as complete waste of money. Could you please advise which test would be more informative in a child (and why) and would help to identify allergens better? Thank you in advance!
