long time sufferer

I have had allergies for years and am now 73 years old. I moved to a rural area about 25 years ago and things started going down hill. I am allergic to nearly all airbourn pollens, dust, dander, and a number of foods. I have taken shots and every brand of antihistamine until a specialist said all of these were probably doing more harm than good. He left me on Nasacort, Singular, Alvesco and Bepreve eye drops. I also use a netti pot twice a day and wash my hair and body when I come in from outside. My worst symptom is extreme ithcing all over my body and face. The dermatologist prescribed cortizone cream and I use over the counter creams as well. Cortisone shots used to help but are losing their effectiveness. I read on another site about a lasar accupunture treatment which was relieving symptoms but can't seem to find anymore about it. Can anyone help me?

Hello Itchy - wow things have been bad for you! Why don't you join in with our hay fever clinic on 20th May online and talk to some of our experts. They may be able to help. Just visit our NHS Choices forums for information or take a look at this page - http://www.talkhealthpartnership.com/ha ... _forum.php.
