drugs effect on Estrogen levels

I have read that Anti-depressants and Valium can interfere with the body's ability to make estrogen. I had a nervous breakdown at Christmas and am still suffering. I have lost over a stone in weight. I have used Estrogel and the contraceptive pill as HRT and anti depressants for five years which has worked well (no vasomotor symptoms) up until the breakdown caused by personal stress and trying to reduce the anti depressants too quickly.,I am now wondering if I should increase the estrogen to compensate for the drugs I need to take. I have been having breakthrough bleeds and hot flushes and tender breasts I have not had any gyni surgery. I would really appreciate your help.

Re: drugs effect on Estrogen levels

Perhaps change your current 'contraceptive pill and estrogen gel' regime to a standard HRT preparation?
