Itchy scars

I have a really itchy scar from minor surgery on my foot<nothing the doctor has given me has been any help,do you have any advice ?

There are a number of options including:
a) Moisturise with cold cream/ointment/oil (product kept in fridge)
b) Massage with firm circular movements 3-4 times a day
c) Consider an over the counter anti itch tablet
d) Consider laser, steroid injections/tapes, silicone gel/tapes
A knowledgable professional with an interest in scar should be able to direct to the best solution for your
type of scar and specific site.

I have tried creams and steroid tape,no luck

Hi

I can see that you have tried conservative management to no success and I suggest getting your GP to refer you to a specialist scar clinic where an assessment will be made by the Doctor and possibly a course of steroid injection is an option as a next ladder of treatment.
