Itchy scar after hip replacement

Hi, I had a hip replacement 18 months ago, it's all healed very well apart from a bumpy bit of scar tissue that itches and gets quite sore frequently. I use moisturisers but they don't really help. Is there anything I can do to aid healing? Thanks

It maybe that the scar is still active and this may respond to application of silicone sheet/gel, steroid tape or a course of steroid injection or laser treatment. I recommend you get this assess by your Doctor or GP and getting referred appropriately.
