Scars due to medication

Hi, I have to take a low dose of steroids for life and 25mg of methotrexate every week as an autoimmune plan. I get lumps all over mt arms chest and shoulder, they start as a lump then look like a bite and then scar, obviously I must scratch them in my sleep, they start off red then when they scar they go white which looks awful as I tend to tan easily in the summer, I get asked if I self harm and it's really embarrassing, what can I do??? :?:

Re: Scars due to medication

I do get patients with the same medications as yours referred to me by the Dermatology team for camouflage treatment to try and help conceal the scar using cream and powder available through NHS prescription. It is best to get your GP to refer you to the Dermatology Department for further assessment and they will advice you accordingly.
