On behalf of Penny:
I went to see my doctor as I have had a constant pain recently and sometimes have problem going to the loo. He has suggested that I may have bladder stones... and has referred me to the hospital – but didn’t say what happens when I get there?

Hi

Your symptoms may be due to a number of things and so I'm glad you've been referred for further investigation. Depending on what exactly your symptoms are, you will be asked to provide a urine sample, you may be asked to have an ultrasound scan of your kidneys, and they may decide to look inside your bladder with a small flexible telescope (cystoscopy). These are all straight-forward investigations and should help your doctor work out the cause of your symptoms.

Good luck!

Agree with Sachins advice but the chances of it being a bladder stone are thankfully very small
more likely infection or painful bladder for other reasons
Bladder stones usually only occur in older men with large prostates causing obstruction
