Chronic Urticaria

I have suffered from this condition for over 50 years. I currently take Fexofenadine Hypochloride 180mg twice a day and acrivastine 5mg up to 4 times per day. I have been on the same medication for over 20 years and my condition was under control but is now ( age 65 ) starting to flare up again. Are there any new medications available in the UK on the NHS that might benefit me.

There are a number of other options
treatments that actby suppressing the immune system (e.g. ciclosporin) may be beneficial for
the most severely affected people not responding to the treatments
A new biological injection treatment called omalizumab has recently been
approved for the most severely affected chronic spontaneous urticaria
patients. This is only available in specialist clinics.
It may be worth getting a specialist opinion to advise and maynbe to look into why the condition is not under good control now
