The most important thing is to avoid repeated scratching or rubbing. Also use a soap substitute such as aqueous cream. use rich mositurisers frequently. strong steroids might be needed. more information can be found here

Thank you for your reply Dr Sheth,
I think I am already adhering to your recommendations. I was diagnosed via biopsy and I use Epaderm cream Fludroxycortide tape and I take Phenergan tablets.
I do have other medical problems which do cause some anxiety and stress. I was just hoping another cure had been found as I am never clear of outbreaks which take ages to clear.
