Dyshidrotic eczema

I suffer with this type of eczema on my fingers. I find washing my hands alot brings them out or rhe worst cluprit I have found is when I am peeling potatoes! My fingers burn and get sooo itchy. Is it something to do with starch? I have tried wearing gloves but it's not for me. What is it about potatoes that my hands don't like?!

Re: Dyshidrotic eczema

I was interested by your question so did some investigation and found a very informative blog at https://curedmyeczema.wordpress.com/201 ... my-eczema/ There seems to be a variety of trigger foods. I advise wearing disposable gloves to peel your potatoes! Try to use a more oil based (such as petroleum jelly) moisturiser or emollient regularly. You may seek help with any appropriate medication from your GP.
