Spots on cheeks

On behalf of Jacob:
My skin has always been normal and I have had no issues with skincare products. Recently I have been having constant breakouts on my cheeks. I have been using a normal cleaner from the pharmacy which has helped a little. What else can I do to stop the breakouts?

Re: Spots on cheeks

Dear Jacob,

Many thanks for taking the time to post a question. I would suggest looking for cleansers that contain the following ingredients:
salicyclic acid
glycolic acid
niacinamide
tea tree oil
benzoyl peroxide

There are also targeted treatments (often containing salicylic acid) which you can apply directly to any inflamed spots. If despite changing your skincare for a few weeks your spots continue then i would recommend seeing your GP for prescription creams and possible even tablets.

Best of luck,

Anjali
