Dear Catwoman1974,

Many thanks for taking the time to post a question. Based on the information you have provided and the recent change in climate and cold weather, I wonder if you are actually suffering from a medical condition known as seborrhoeic dermatitis. It is very common for this to flare up in the winter months and it can cause dry patches in the skin - commonly between the eyebrows and near the nose and cheeks.

I would suggest firstly using a good hydrating cream cleanser morning and evening rather than a foaming wash in addition to a moisturiser free from fragrances. If this fails to settle it then i highly recommend you see your GP as you may need some mild steroid cream to soothe the inflammation you are describing.

I hope that helps and best wishes,

Anjali
