Scar Repair
I have a pretty prevalent scar, following having had my face severley slashed back in the mid 90's,which took 47 stitches to close in total, but I still see it every day, despite it having been repaired twice by an amazing plastic surgeon in the Leicester Royal Infirmary maxillofacial surgery department. So what's best to apply topically and/or to take orally too i.e. vitamins and the like,so that it will continue healing as best it can and so will become far less noticeable, please.
Thanks
Bill
Thanks

Re: Scar Repair
Hi Bill
Thanks for the post. A scar at this stage is mature and usually any creams or oral treatment have very little effect this far in
You should use regular sun protection on an exposed site at least SPF 30. A silicone gel can help with scarring too
Laser treatment such as with fractional non-abltative or ablative laser can also help with scarring dependin on the type of scar. Hope this helps!
