Help!!! Im like a teenager at the moment with spotty skin, since going through the menopause last year I just dont know how to deal with my face! I never even got bad skin like this as a teenager yet now in my 50's arghhhhhh! do I moisturise and make it more greasy and spotty? Ive been using tea tree stuff, spot creams, face masks, what can I do please help! Desperate housewife of Surrey

Sorry to hear this, we definitely know this can happen to some women going through the menopause.

ensure all your skin care and make up is non-comedogenic ie non-pore blocking. Strip skin care routines right back to a cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen. Try Salicyclic acid or benzyl peroxide containing products. Then if that doesn't help, see you doctor about adding in a vitamin A based cream (retinoid), azelaic acid or even oral treatments.

This can be fixed, so please do get help!
