Menopause and Eczema
Hello I am 53 and have had eczema all my life. Recent 3 years have been worse - covering my whole body and the intense itching drives me mad. Do you think its age related? As I am menopausal age (despite no symptoms) Thank you

Re: Menopause and Eczema
Hi there,
Eczema is such a complex condition which fluctuates over the years. To be honest, for as many people who find hormones can affect it, there are a similar number who find no link.
The bottom line is that it doesn't sound like your eczema is well controlled. You need to see a doctor to ensure you are optimising your therapy - if creams aren't working there are other options such as light therapy and tablets.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes.
