Rosacea

I suffer from severe bouts of rosacea. I am at the end of my tether with it. Whenever I get hot it flares up. I have tried lots of different products recommended to me but none seem to make any difference. Please can you help?

Re: Rosacea

I am so sorry to hear about your rosacea. The best treatments for spots rosacea (inflammatory rosacea) is an oral antibiotic (lymecycline, erythromycin, doxycycline) and/or Soolantra cream (new non antibiotic cream). If usual antibiotics give you side effects, there is Efracea antibiotic which should not cause microbial resistance or thrush and very rarely cause other side effects.
For red colour/ flushing rosacea the best treatment is Mirvaso gel, although laser also works for fixed redness of the face. I see lots of patients with rosacea! You can read more about rosacea and available treatments, if it is of interest to you, on my website www.alexandroff.org.uk

I hope this is helpful.
