Acne

Hi have always suffered from oily dry skin which produces outbreaks of red pustules. I have been on Topical zineret for years but it does no good. They can also be like cystic acne on my neck. Would value your help please. I'm 50 an you would think I was passed all this.

Re: Acne

Thank you for your question. I am so sorry to hear about your spots problem. I agree this sounds like acne. I would suggest that you ask your GP to consider more potent treatments - Epiduo gel (a combination of topical retinoid and benzoil peroxide) in a possible combination with oral antibiotic. An even stronger medicine is called Roacutane but this is usually prescribed by a dermatologist. If you would like, you can
read more about acne and available treatments on my website (www.alexandroff.org.uk) , of it is of interest to you.

I hope this is helpful.
