Help skin so sore

I have a problem with the skin around my eyes mouth and neck. I have had this problem for 4 years now. I have been to the doctors more times than I can count. I have had so many different cream and drugs but nothing makes a difference. I have done a food diary to see if there is any pattern but it doesn't show anything. I have had patch testing but again nothing. The doctors have said it's juat one of those things I will have to live with. It changes regularly but is so sore when it's around my eyes. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have attached a picture

Re: Help skin so sore

I am so sorry to hear about your skin problem. Where did you have your patch testing done? What diagnosis were you given by a dermatologist? I am afraid I can't see any image attached. An image is never as good as an examination in person but sometimes it might help.

Re: Help skin so sore

Thank you foe your response. I had patch testing done at my local hosiptal but they said nothing came up from it so it was just one of those things. Sorry I think the photo may have been to large so didn't save it.

Re: Help skin so sore

Thank you for more information. It sounds like the doctors tried to exclude allergic contact dermatitis - eczema caused by external allergens. So from this I guess that you may suffer from atopic dermatitis (dermatitis or eczema which comes from inside) or seborrheic dermatitis (dermatitis caused by yeast). It is very difficult to comment on treatment without making a firm diagnosis (without examining you in person) and without knowing what exact treatments you had so far. There are very powerful oral treatments available to treat dermatitis and a new powerful injection treatment has just became available (from biologics medications class). You can read more about dermatitis and available treatments, if it is of interest to you, on my website www.alexandroff.org.uk/Patients.html

I hope this is helpful.
