Hay fever

My hay fever primarily affects my eyes. They stream, become very irritated and painful. Anything you can suggest to help? I’m already on antihistamine tablets.

Re: Hay fever

Hi hockeymum

It sounds as if you need to ramp up your treatment - eye drops such as opatanol might be helpful and there is astrong improvement in eye symptoms if you also treat the nose, so a nose spray would be useful as well. your GP can start you off, and if you are still having problems when fully treated you will need to see an allergist.

Hope that helps
