Moles and the beach

I have a mole on my back and noticed that some beach goers cover similar moles with something like a plaster? Are there special mole plasters available just to use on the beach, or should I continue to use a sunblock with SPF50+ on that area, like on any other parts of skin?

Also, I use sunglasses and especially when I go to the beach, but should I also use an SPF50+ cream on my eyelids in addition? My skin is fair.

Re: Moles and the beach

Hi there,
I am not aware of any special mole plasters but the best form of sun protection is wearing is clothing and not going to the beach when its very sunny. Use sunscreen regularly and often (SPF 50 is good) and remember to apply 30 mins before you go on the beach and not when you get to the beach! Sunscreen needs at least 30 mins on your skin to afford you protection so don't get caught out!
You could wear sunscreen on your eyelids but some people find it irritates their eyes. Wearing shades with lenses with UV filters would definitely be a good idea.
Hope that helps!
