11 year old boy
On behalf of Lauren:
What is the panels opinion of re siting the urethra higher up the side of the bladder and using the appendix as a link between bladder and tummy button for catheterisation purposes, in a 11 year old boy who is well, no history of UTI's, but who's bladder is 'floppy' and child has to double void, although still does not fully empty bladder. He has grade 5 bilateral, versico uretic reflux. I am interested in opinions.

Hi Lauren,
This is clearly a very complicated urological problem that requires a lot of consideration and talking through. It sounds as if he is being looked after by a peadiatric urologist and if you remain unsure of the next best step you can ask to discuss it again in clinic with his urologists. I would recommend that you write down the questions you have so that you can go through it with the urologist or their nurse specialist.
I am not sure this can be explored further via this forum but I hope the advice I have offered is of some help .
