Routine checks?

My functional medicine practitioner (with an American training background) asked whether I've had gynaecological checks (not in connection with anything specific). I said I hadn't had reason to. Should I? I think its more routine in America.

routine checks are not normally carried out with in the UK, just the cervical sreening and anything else is normally of problems or issues that you may have.
