Vitiligo

Hi I would like to know the reason for vitiligo why does it happen to some people as my dad has it yet he had normal skin before he is Indian so Asian darker tone of skin complexion.

There are multiple reasons for getting vitiligo. There are many factors at play including genetic factors, immunological and external factors (e.g vitiligo is more common on areas of friction or trauma). As it is a condition which leads to loss of the pigment of skin it is more noticeable in people with skin of colour.
