Dry, sensitive, acne prone skin

Postby Annaalice on Fri Feb 02, 2018 10:08 pm

Three months ago a started a contraceptive pill specifically for acne. I think the acne is slowly starting to clear up but its left me with incredibly dry and sensitive skin. If I even try to wear makeup or irritate it in anyway it becomes flakey and red. I've also been left with a lot of red marks from past breakouts.

My current routine is
Am; wash face with water only, rosehip oil, spf
Pm; cleanse with gentle cleanser, rosehip oil, moisturiser

Does anyone know of any products I should try or how long it might take for my skin to settle? Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Hello Annalice and thanks for your post.

You say you wash your face with water only. This can add to the drying effect. It would be worth you going online and finding some companies that could offer you samples of a face wash as this could help with some extra skin moisturising. Does your SPF contain a good moisturiser?

You could also take a look at one of our new bloggers, Alice, as she may have some top tips etc she can share with you. Here are some links that might help: ... with-acne/ ... wering.php ... ansers.php
