We view our visitors and members privacy as important. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and listed on the Data Protection Register. The Data Protection Act 2018 requires every organisation processing personal data to register with the ICO. We explicitly ask certain information from you in our membership registration. This information is held in our talkhealth database. We never reveal this information directly to anyone. You will only be emailed directly by talkhealth and not by any other third parties. When we email you directly in connection to a third party site/good or service your details are not revealed to that body. When we either ask you for information or supply you with a good or service whereby a third party needs to be involved we will expressly ask your permission if that third party can have your details. If we supply any information to our partners from our membership database (which is normally to assist in research purposes) we only supply statistical information which is always anonymised.

In common with most websites, we do track the behaviour of our visitors to our sites. This can include using a ‘cookie’ which would be stored on your browser. Banner advertising

You will find banner advertising displayed around the site. Banner advertising is clearly stated as either 'Related Advertisers' or 'Clinic Sponsors/Supporting Partners' and the companies advertising are paying talkhealth a fee.

Advertorial / Disease Awareness

At the foot of any advertorial/disease awareness/articles pages, we have information providing further information about the nature of the content. It explains that information contained in the disease awareness or advertorial pages has been supplied by companies who have paid to promote their product or raise awareness of a particular disease. talkhealth does not endorse any specific products, brands or treatments and cannot vouch or verify any claims that the authors have made. talkhealth cannot provide any advice on whether a particular product or treatment is suitable. If you are in any doubt about any of the products you read about, we advise you to either contact the company concerned or seek medical advice before changing your treatment routine.

All advertorial and disease awareness content clearly states who has supplied the content.

Clinic sponsorship

All clinic sponsors display their product or service information under the 'Clinic Sponsors or Supporting Sponsors' heading on the relevant clinic promotional page. Companies that sponsor the clinics are paying talkhealth to do so. NHS & our charity partners expressly and specifically do NOT endorse any companies, brands, products or treatments featuring on the talkhealth platform or any other social media platform used by talkhealth. There is no implication of any endorsement from NHS or our charity partners to any of these sites, goods or services.

Acceptance of terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of the talkhealth site. These conditions may be amended or added to at any time without notice to you, therefore please check them regularly. If you do not agree to any of the terms, you are not authorised to visit the sites and we ask you to kindly leave.

Legal identity

talkhealth is a trading name of talkhealth Partnership Ltd, whose registered office is 30 Camp Road, Farnborough, Hampshire, GU14 6EW No 6437604 - hereafter referred to as talkhealth. Other trading names which are covered under all of the disclaimer/privacy policy/terms are talkacne, talkallergy, talkarthritis, talkbladder, talkecema, talkibs, talkmen's health, talkpsoriasis, talkrespiratory, talkrosacea, talkscars, talkweight, talkwomen's health and any others that are deemed within and under the talkhealth brand.

Use of site

The site is intended entirely for your personal use and may not be used for any form of commercial use. Any form of selling or promotion on any of the site is also strictly forbidden without permission. Neither is any attempt to recruit staff from talkhealth or visitors/members of the talkcondition hubs allowable.
